It was the Calgary PRIDE parade today so Sarah and I went down to enjoy the festivities as usual. Instead of a whole bunch of wide shots of parade floats I thought I would focus on the people this time. The gallery below is a selection of the eclectic mix of folks attending and marching in the 2017 PRIDE parade beginning with our current Alberta Premier, Rachel Notley (beneath the 'I' in the main image below). There are no captions with the gallery just gathering of images of like minded folks enjoying the parade.
It was Calgary PRIDE Parade today so Sarah and I went downtown to see the show, it's the first time we've been and both agree that we'll be going to the next one (if we're still here) Thousands of people turned out to take part or to spectate and the city centre was a sea of colour for the afternoon. The parade lasts well over an hour and ends in Millennium Park where a music festival kicks in to close the day out, all in all it's another festival that we can mark on the calendar for next year. As always, click an image in the gallery below to start a slideshow of larger images.
