A lovely period of settled weather has seen the snow melting from south facing slopes for a few weeks now resulting in an early opportunity to get above 8,000 feet...so I did. Click here for full story and pics.
With warm temperatures throughout this week and bright sunshine every day we escaped on Sunday for a little of that rare quality time together.
We walked along the closed section of Highway 66 (Elbow Falls Trail) and circled around the Beaver Ponds before rejoining the road and walking back to the winter gate.
