Our Home in Calgary
Under pressure to deliver pictures of the house for folks back home (those that haven't seen it on Skype) I finally relented and got around to taking some. We live at the end of a Cul-de-Sac that has a massive wide street going around a tiny island as a turning circle.
From the outside the house appears to be a bungalow (UK name for a single story dwelling) it has a double drive and triple garage though Sarah has yet to attempt getting her Murano in there ; )
from the back the house can be seen for what it really is, a really nice two story place with plenty of space inside and out.
we have only recently moved in so we are not yet fully settled (no pictures on walls etc) but the galleries below show most of the two floors and provide a good feel for the place (click pictures for captions)
Moving to the ground floor (or man cave as Sarah has taken to calling it) Click for captions as before
Our favourite part of this beautiful house is the balcony accessed from the breakfast area it is huge and provides great views across the garden and beyond, the left side (note the gate at the rear that leads down to the Bow river in the valley below)
the right side with wiggly borders similar to those we did at our own house in Scawby
I'm sure to people in the UK this looks like a huge house (and by UK standards I guess it is) but it does manage to maintain a nice small home feel which is what attracted us to it in the first place.
