Scawby Memories
Just a few shots of our first house together in the lovely village of Scawby in North Lincolnshire, bought in March 2002 we spent a couple of years making changes to get it just the way we wanted.
When the move to America came up it was a big decision to let the place go, but with no idea what the future held and when or even if we would return, we reluctantly let our dream home slip through our fingers, we were both very sad to leave it, and our wonderful neighbours who looked after us like their own.
The front garden was stuffed with all kinds of shrubs providing flowers and berries year round.

I specifically took this shot to show the wall top, after a year of trying to decide what to do with it I came up with this......I think it worked pretty well
I widened the driveway to allow easy access for both cars (but only after Sarah had written one off against the old brick gatepost)
Inside the house we maintained a natural look throughout
My old mum taking in the views from the patio at the rear of the house
a couple of shot of the best part of the rear garden, the 10500 gallon fish pond, I could sit out here all night in summer watching the fish swim by

the new owners have added a huge extension to the rear of the house eliminating the patio and changing our first home irrevocably but the fantastic memories will remain.
