Shell Houston Open
I arrived very early at Redstone Golf Club on April 1st 2009 determined to get good parking and unrestricted access to the practice areas, I parked up in prime position in the area set out by the club for visitors, almost beating the sunrise to the course.
First up was Paul Casey who went on to win the tournament with a score of -11 over the 4 days. It was fantastic to see a procession of stars one after the other within a few feet and to see the skill and power they put into every shot, it was also interesting to see that even they had a touch of nervousness on the first tee.
I waited for Ernie Els and walked 18 holes watching him then as he reached the end of his round I walked with Darren Clarke (even got him to sign my shirt sleeve then gave the shirt to Mark) It was a fantastic day out and one I hope to repeat (not necessarily at this tournament, any would be great). Below are a few galleries from the day.
